Every pitmaster has an opinion on butcher paper. Here is how the three common colors compare when you add your brand to the mix.
Pink (Peach) Butcher Paper
The Texas classic. It is unwaxed and breathable, so smoke passes through while juices stay in, which is why it is the go-to for wrapping brisket.
White Butcher Paper
White paper shows printed colors most brightly and looks clean on the counter. It is a great choice for serving and table covers.
Kraft Butcher Paper
Natural brown kraft has a rustic look that suits smokehouses and farm-to-table brands, and one-color prints look sharp on it.
Tip: wrap in pink, serve on printed white or kraft.
